Rob and I just spent the weekend at an amazing course. Kim Deep, author and financial educator, ran her Money Matters workshop on the weekend. Kim and I first meet at the Mastery of Self-Expression, a course that we have both gone on to volunteer with and to which we also attribute major personal growth and success. Rob and I had approached Kim to see if we could take our financial fitness to the next level. After years of having uneven cashflow and challenges balancing our budget, we wanted to see what Kim could teach us to bring us to a financial blackbelt level! I’ve returned with major Ahas from how to manage the kids allowances and spending requests to how to run our business more effectively. I was blown away by the wealth of information that Kim imparted to us through experiential games, discussions and dynamic presentation. I learnt how to finally plan for treats without sacrificing my savings or living and why it is so important to spend money on fun and education every month. I gained major insights into my own behavior from the experiential games.
Kim is offering a free teleseminar this week that I encourage you to join in on. It is at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. If you miss the call, I will post the link here afterwards to the audio, which may be free or will have small charge. Kim is going to talk about her 15 minute Money Strategy, a technique that I have already been implementing and finding enjoyable and effective. Kim has asked me to host the call, and so I may share more about how her financial teaching is helping me become a black belt in financial fitness!
