You may be surprised to see that this week’s tips on parenting come from my website being hacked! It is a powerful analogy for parenting. I encourage you to read and see if your family is vulnerable to being hacked as well.
If you were on my site last week, you would have received a strange warning, saying that my site could attack your computer. Apparently this summer I missed an email declaring that my WordPress theme needed an upgrade or it was vulnerable to being hacked. I was too busy with my daughter who was suddenly hospitalized with two different, serious health issues to notice the email, so my website was hacked.
What does this have to do with parenting? Despite our best plans, we’ll have times when we are ambushed by issues we didn’t even dream of with our children. Most parents at some point feel that their family has been hacked. You may suddenly discover that your kids are being hit by bullying, drug use, premature sex, or even lying and tantrums in your previously compliant young child.
It is critical that as parents we find ways to both protect our children (in my case by upgrading my theme so the hackers couldn’t get into my website), and to deal with the situation after it has happened. Of course, it is way easier and less painful to protect our children, than it is to deal with the after affects. Sometimes we can protect our family ahead of time, and sometimes we can’t.
I am offering a powerful means of both protecting your family by providing you with information that can keep your kids from getting into trouble, and also a way to learn how to best deal with whatever crisis may be growing. Once again, my Great Parenting Show is about to start. I am interviewing 24 of the world’s top parenting experts, and it is free for you to join!
Just like upgrading my theme would have required very little time and no money, the tips that the experts are going to share are all free and will save you so much time compared to dealing with a crisis. If you are already in crisis, you know that it can and likely will get worse without help, much as my credibility would have been more and more damaged the longer my site was down.
I encourage you to check out my video to find out more about the show and how you can participate.
Experts include:
Hal Runkel, who will be talking about his book, Scream Free Parenting,
Mark Victor Hansen, who will tell us how to raise our children to financially conscious
Sonia Choquette, on how to use your intuition to help you raise resilient, happy children
Dr. Michael Popkin, who will be talking about Parenting Styles and if they’re hurting or harming your children?
Lisa Nichols, star of the Secret, to tell us about motivating teenagers
Izzy Kalman, giving tips on bully proofing made easy
and so many more top experts. If your question isn’t answered by one of the 24 experts on the show, I’ll give you a free copy of mp3s for the entire 24 speakers!
I hope you can make it to the live calls, or to listen to the replays! Your family will transform for generations to come. Isn’t a happy, successful and resilient family what you want more than anything? Take 2 minutes and sign up now so you get to hear about all the great interviews!

Life does have a funny way of handing us unexpected surprises. Even when we think we are ready for them, sometimes they surprise us. Hopefully, I’ll be ready for them when mine try to hit.
I like how you took something that happened and related it to another area. Something I’m trying to do in some ways myself.
Thanks for sharing!
